The clash of Quirks takes on a new stage! A new game mode – Area Control Battle comes on September 3rd 2025!
We’re also planning to release the Area Control Battle Event as the main event concluding Season 12.
What are Area Control Battles?
Area Control Battles use a different ruleset from standard matches.
In this mode, two teams compete to control three areas on the map. Within a 5-minute time limit, each team must earn as many points as possible by capturing zones. If players are knocked out, they can respawn and switch between two different characters.
A 6v6 team battle for control over three zones. Secure each zone to earn points, or capture all three at once to win outright!
・Two teams of 3 players form a 6-person team, and two teams face off against each other.
・You can choose two playable characters in an Area Control Battle.
You cannot select characters already chosen by your teammates.
・Characters can respawn after a short delay when defeated.
・Compete over 3 areas on the Stage.
Secure an area to start earning points.
・The longer you hold and area secure, the more points you earn.
Holding multiple areas at once increases your point gain.
Even if a team is behind on points, they can still stage an incredible comeback by holding at least two areas when the timer runs out. This triggers an overtime mechanic that makes the mode even more competitive and gripping.
—– Victory Conditions —–
・Win by either holding all 3 areas for 60 seconds or by
having more points than the opposing team when time runs out!
However, if one team manages to dominate all three areas for one minute, they will win, regardless of the point difference.
If the score is tied the game goes into overtime! Overtime will last for 60 seconds. The team with a higher score than the opposing team when the timer reaches zero will achieve victory.
If the team with fewer points controls at least two zones at the end of the match, Overtime becomes unlimited, and will continue until either the score is reversed or the losing team controls one or fewer zones.
Never give up, and fight for victory until the very last second!
This new 6v6 area control battle mode will be available from September 3 to September 24.
